Despite the severe impact of the on-going drought, they remain an optimistic bunch in and around Henty, New South Wales, as testified by the success of the recent Henty Machinery Field Days.
With a stand and four staff members present, Gough Transport Solutions were indeed proud to be part of this year’s Field Days, held between 18 – 20 September.
“Given we’re in the grips of a drought and that a lot of people are hurting up here, the show went very well. We had a strong line of enquiries about the products on display,” says Gough Transport Solutions Account Manager, Phil Cook.
“Sections of the industry, namely the big grain tippers, are not as popular as they have been in the past because of the drought, but we had a lot of interest in the smaller tipping kits,” he adds.
“There were also a lot of enquiries about our cylinder blocking systems, which prevent accidents by stopping the tipper crashing down if a hydraulic hose blows. I’d have to say there was a lot of interest in our entire product range on show.”
“It was good to fly the flag,” Phil proudly says. “Our stand had good exposure to customers and there were a lot of genuine enquiries, so when the drought ends we’re sure there will be strong flow-on business.”
“This is my fifth Henty show and each one is getting better and better. The organisers did a great job.”
